What do Path Mentors look for in students?

  1. Ability to learn: You don’t have to start out with a perfect hand of cards to succeed. As long as you are capable of keeping an open mind and staying curious, you are capable of learning and growing.

  2. Motivation: Not every student has the motivation to take on a long-term project outside of school. But students who adopt growth mindset and follow their passions can truly grow as they pursue projects with our mentors.

Why are mentors willing to spend time on their students?

We have been fortunate and grateful to have had multiple mentors along our journey. Many of our mentors understand the importance of the younger generation in the future. And with years of hard work, dedication, and valuable experience, our mentors are now ready to give back and inspire the next generation through project-based mentorship.

Can mentors help me with summer/college applications?

The short answer is yes! However our summer/college application mentorship is only open to long-term Unicorn Path students.

What if the project is too challenging?

Not all students have conducted projects before and we understand that each student comes from a different background, culture, and school. We have carefully curated the difficulty based on each student’s fundamentals.
