2026 Bootcamps
Finance & Equity Research
Project Overview
This intensive, six-week program is designed for motivated high school students and rising college freshmen who want hands-on experience in finance and investment analysis or plan to major in math, economics, finance, or engineering in college.
The program will be taught under the guidance of mentor Daniel Eem, who received his B.A. in Economics and History from Columbia University and is a J.D. / M.B.A. joint candidate at Columbia Law and Business School.
Over the years, he has worked at J.P. Morgan, Cornerstone, and Point72 in NYC. Grew up in the Bay Area and an alum of Saratoga High School, he has also mentored many students interested in business and finance and is dedicated to helping the younger generation discover their lifelong passions.
The curriculum covers valuation techniques such as Comparable Companies analysis and Discounted Cash Flow analysis. The program covers key concepts such as capital structure, financial ratios, monetary and fiscal policy, and risk analysis. Successful students will create a 10 to 14 page individualized equity research report and be published in major financial/stock platforms.

“The mentorship sessions boosted my daughter's confidence in her abilities! She enjoyed working with a Columbia mentor on a project that she was passionate about.
